The Signaller Wren

278 pages 87 illustrations
A very proper romance from World War II.
The bundle of letters from Ann were discovered in a long since perished rubber band. She was a Signaller Wren of the Royal Navy. The letters had been written while on night duty in the signal tower of the naval base, Rosyth, in the Firth of Forth. They are here religiously transcribed to the last blot and weary mood.
This is an unusual work recalling the author’s experiences during the Second World War.

An extraordinary life
Mick Stuart has lived an extraordinary life. Much of the impressionable time of his childhood was spent on the Hebridean Island of Gigha where he spent his time watching and learning about wild life.
He has spent twenty years in retirement on the Hebridean Isle of Islay of which he says “have been the happiest years of my life”.

His interests are wide and varied. He has spent many hours watching and filming the wildlife on his chosen home of Islay, and his unique footage is now available on DVD from Bothy Media.
Mick also decided to record parts of his unique experiences on paper, and has so far published two books and created a number of films which are available as DVD's.
